Jim and I went to the football game
today. We parked in South Baltimore
which is where my family (paternal)
is historically from. This is Cross Street.
I was born just around the corner
from here.

Sharp-Leadenhall in a historically
black neighborhood in South
Baltimore, which is where my great
grandparents settled after arriving
from Germany in 1851

Jim and I parked in a lot charging $25 close
to the stadium, only we were trapped in the
very back and had to wait for everyone else
to claim their vehicles before we could leave.

We went to John's tailgate party! I've never
been to one before. In fact this was my FIRST
real football game at the stadium.
Me, Kim and John.......we handle the workers'
compensation claims for the MTA.

This is John. He sits next to me at work.

I ran in to Mike and Jennifer! Mike and I worked
together at MAIF!

This is Vern. He also worked at MAIF. I ran into
him at the Fell's Point Festival yesterday.

There was an assortment of RAVEN'S vehicles
tailgating! Even my next door neighbor has an
old purple school bus done up in "Ravens"

Tailgating is basically a big cook out. Just like
everyone braking out the braai in Vervoedstad/
Centurion for the cricket.

Of course the toilets were purple.

John's people do it right. Best spot in the lot,
flags, coolers of beer, a big ole grill.....they
started at 0800!

Kelly -Kim's daughter- Kim and John.

Kim chugging a beer and John puffing on a cigar,
which is so out of character for both of them!

After the drink fest it was time to go inside
the stadium. M and T is the name of a New York
Bank, Manufacturers and Traders I think.

It was a sea of purple!

This little boy was SO into the game it was
funny. I can't imagine what he's going to be
like at 45
He has an emotional comment for every
Waiting for folks to come back and claim their
cars -parked in front of us- I noticed this anvil
A Robert McClintock outside the Cross Street
Market in South Baltimore. McClintock is one
United States Coast Guard Yard Curtis Bay
Station which is not far from my house.

You smoke cigars?
you are not supposed to inhale a cigar unless you want to vomit. You keep it in your mouth and exhale!
